Love is the light of life
It is everything but finite
As fleeting and beautiful
As it is steadfast and eternal
Alpha and omega are eclipsed by its grace
These are mere words; applied only so we mortal coils can relate
Time and space mean nothing to love
For these are not infinite, and love is everything but
Love is multi-faceted and multi-tiered
A perfect gem, tactile, reassuringly strong and real
But translucent and honest, like clear eyes radiating virtue
Every time you look, you learn something new
It's always new, for until it becomes yours
It has never existed before
And never will again
Love is generosity and just defiance, righteous pain
It is the only constant, and the catalyst for change
Primal and holy, it's perfect yet the perfect paradox is
We recognise and cherish but ne'er completely understand it
Stronger than death, conquers the grave
Knows nor fear nor limits, only faith that cannot fail
Love is the moment, and the moment is eternity
All we have is now, nothing else, to craft and choose our dream
Love is the lens through which divinity
Coalesces into you and me
It always is, has always been
And always shall it be
Love is the substance, the flesh and blood
The essence, the breath, the mind, of God
Great poem!
